Jim Crow law

Education [The County Board of Education] shall provide schools of two kinds; those for white children and those for colored children. Texas

I think that they made this law because many mean and racist parents probably didn't want their kids to touch the black kids because they thought they might pass diseases! Maybe some teachers didn't want to teach the black kids. They had lots of fear. Maybe, the people that were not racist thought that there might be a lot of bullying - white kids teasing the black kids or the opposite. This is why they probably made this law.

In my opinion this law doesn't make sense. Sometimes you have to think from their side too! Because nobody wants to be disliked for their color! This law makes me feel angry because this was not a fair law!

How my parents got married!
My parents got married on the 17th of July! They knew each other 6 years before their marriage. They invited the whole family and many friends! All of them together reached 1000 people! I did not attend the wedding because I was not born yet! They got married by a priest at St. John’s church due to the fact that the church was near their house! (People have to get married at the same parish where their house and church are located) The church was small and ancient with beautiful gardens outside and many colorful paintings inside. Also inside the church was decorated with white flowers and candles.
The groom (my dad) was waiting with his parents and his best man outside the church for the bride (my mum) to arrive. He was holding a beautiful bouquet of white roses to offer to my mum. My mum arrived with a limo accompanied by my grandparents. She was so beautiful with her white and elegant wedding gown that everybody was very amazed! My grandfather escorted her to my dad, where my parents kissed and they all entered the church where the ceremony began.
When the ceremony finished all of the guests went outside waiting for my parents to get out so they throw at them flower leaves and rice seeds! The flower leaves represent happiness and the rice seeds good luck and fertility. Everybody was giving them their best wishes, while they were headed towards the limousine. All friends and relatives followed the couple driving to a big ball room of a hotel for the greetings. The room was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles while romantic music playing at the background. My parents together with my grandparents stood at a small platform ready for the people to pass by and give their greetings and presents. During the whole time it was offered champagne and small snacks. At the exit traditional Cyprus cakes were offered to the people. The greetings lasted about 1 hour. Around 120 people, all close friends and relatives, attended a dinner party followed by a dance party all having a great time until the morning hours.
There a lot more stuff and ideas that I have in my head about my wedding but for now here is a general description! I would like my wedding to be at an exotic island with no more than 400 people, mostly close friends and family, at a small white and beautiful church! I would like to get married by a priest. I will wear a beautiful white dress and hold a beautiful bouquet of colorful orchids! After the ceremony, followed by my best man or woman and my parents, we will enter the limo and head to a beautiful garden where there will be lovely food and delightful decoration. I would like the garden to have exotic trees and plants. While we start to dine there will be romantic music playing at the background! After the dinner we will start dancing and having a lot of fun! It will be the best wedding ever!

   My name

My name is Stefani! It originated from the Greeks. It doesn't really mean anything it's just that every Greek or Cypriot was named after a saint. Now in the modern days there might be a Geek name that doesn't have a saint, which means the person doesn't even have a name day.
My mum and dad named me Stefani because they liked it. No one else in my family has the name Stefani. No aunts, no grandmothers no... no one! My name in boy version can be Stefanos or Stefan. For example my name date is at the 27 of December, that's when St.Stefanos died! So whoever's name is Stefani, Stefanos or Stefan they must celebrate their name date at the 27Th.
I like my name and I feel happy about it! That is because I could of had a bad name like Evlampia! I don't like this kind of names. :P When I grow up I want to have twins! A boy and a girl! The boy I will name Achilleas or Paris. These names originated from the ancient Greek times! The girl I will name Ivoni. Because... I just like the name!!! :P

My family tradition: Traditions are usually actions or beliefs that are handed down over time. Often each family has its own tradition that pass through generations.
In my family we consider a tradition to have lunch all together every Sunday. Often we invite friends or other family members, like aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. Customary we barbecue souvlakia, sheftalies, halloumi and pita. My dad is in charge of the barbecue while my mum makes salads or any other appetizers. Us, me and my siblings will help with making the table or during the summer we swim in our swimming pool. Our guests will usually bring drinks or desserts. When everything is ready we all sit around the table and eat while discussing matters of the week. What makes it special is that during the week everybody is busy and every Sunday we have the chance to meet with each other, talk and have fun.
This is a tradition that both my parents got from their own families, since they used to gather every Sunday and eat together, especially my mum's family.I plan to keep on this tradition when I have my own family because I think it is very important for a family to gather around at least once a week. More over thinking of how much fun we have every Sunday is another reason why I want to keep on this tradition. I would also like my own children to realize the importance of this tradition and hand it down to their own children and so on.
I am always looking forward to Sundays since for me they are the most fun days of the week because I have a chance to be with my family and friends and have my favorite food with out worrying about any home work.

My favorite place

My favorite place in the world is Cologne. Cologne is in Germany, Europe region. It is a very beautiful place, there are many fun stuff to do there like go to "Fantasia land" or to the zoo. "Fantasia land" is a big park with a huge roller coaster and other fun games. It's like a fun park. The zoo is very big and it has a lot of exotic animals.Monkeys, elephants, rhinos, lions and many more. One special thing about Cologne is that is full of green, in every road, in every corner, it will have either a tree or a plant. It is my favorite place because when you walk around you will rarely see trash.(At least that's what I saw when I went there) It is probably the police's favorite place because there are many donuts shops! You should surely go there you will love Cologne. It has a lot of activities to do, you will never get bored.
